How to Find Totara Country Lodge

To reach Totara Country Lodge -

By Air:

It is a 35-minute flight from Auckland to Kerikeri, then a 40-minute drive from Kerikeri airport to the Lodge.
 

By Road:

Totara Country Lodge is 3 ˝ hours north of Auckland, by road.

  1. Follow State Highway 1 through Whangarei.
  2. Stay on State Highway 1, following the signs to Cape Reinga.
  3. Pass through Kawakawa and Moerewa.
  4. About 7 to 8 kms past Moerewa, turn right onto State Highway 10, following signs to Doubtless Bay.
  5. Pass through Waipapa and Kaeo.
  6. After Kaeo, continue following State Highway 10 across the one-lane bridge at a sharp left turn.
  7. About 5 kms past Kaeo, turn right to Totara North (this is a 4-km no exit road).
  8. About 3 kms down from the turn-off, you will pass the Gum Store Bar and Grill on your right.
  9. 200 metres after this, turn left into “The Cutting”. Totara Country Lodge is the first house on the right.
